Transforming the former St Patrick’s Credit Union into one of Ireland’s Top Credit Union’s. Savvi Credit Union is now redefining Irish banking, reaching a new audience and scaling new heights all built upon a strong heritage and proud community ethos.
The new name Savvi – their first name change in 54 years, was unanimously voted through by their members at a special general meeting. Savvi signifies their key difference of people helping people, reflects a wise and clever choice, unites all 22,000 members and communicates a new kind of banking experience.
We set about creating an identity and accompanying visual assets that were as rich, colourful and varied as the communities they served. Every single touchpoint was carefully considered and brought to life.
A different kind of banking experience needed to be celebrated through a distinctive flexible design system that truly resonated with people from all walks of life.
The flagship banking hub, in the heart of Dublin’s Docklands was officially opened by Minister for Finance Paschal Donohue in November 2017 enabling Savvi to serve a younger local community and compete with Ireland’s commercial banks.
The new Savvi brand reflects a wise and clever choice and delivers exactly what Irish society is demanding.

The Savvi branding has achieved some of the highest international recognition possible, at the 2019 Transform Awards in London it was awarded Silver Best Visual Identity from the Financial Services Sector and also won a Bronze for Best Brand Evolution category.
Savvi was also awarded an ICAD Bronze bell for best branded environment.
